During training, a soldier is taught to respond to a threat or issue in an ‘aggressive’ and immediate way as opposed to the way a civilian would – this is called the fight or flight response.

I began to find myself thinking about the mindscape of a PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) sufferer and what they could have been thinking or feeling. In this space a perpetual war waged between the human and the oppressive military construct. In this space, a human psyche was trying desperately to be something it was obviously not meant to be.
